Growing up there were some pretty CLASSIC shows on television and some neat movies in the theatres.  So this page is dedicated to those actors and actresses or television personalities who I remember fondly but either it's just me or I'm continually missing them somehow.

My Two Cents...

If you wait around long enough, you become re-popular.

Look at John Travolta.

HEY, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO...

Deborah Foreman

She was priceless and spunky in movies like Valley Girl, My Chauffeur (I quoted that movie with my friend, Tony, for WEEKS -- drove everyone nuts), Real Genius, and April Fools Day.  WHAT a smile on her.  The last bit of work that I know her as having done is Lunatics: A Love Story, but that's on screen.

I checked out her Official page (she did all the work) and have learned that she's also an artist, a heck of a writer (from reading her page), and a furniture painter as well.

You know, it really cheeses me off these people who are talented in one area, gorgeous, and then just go on and be super talented in an entirely different area.  That just chaps my hide.  (Sour grapes?  Heck yeah. <g>)

Joyce Hyser

Until I saw Hillary Swank in Boys Don't Cry I thought that type of role would be forever unsurpassable than by Joyce Hyser as Terry in Just One of the Guys.  She was priceless.  Ironically enough, she also played alongside Deborah Foreman in Valley Girl.  So there you go.  (I just can't remember what she did)

Trivia:  I think she dated Bruce Springsteen for a while.

Lance Kerwin

Remember him?  He was in James at 15.  The last thing I know of that he did was a part in the Dustin Hoffman flick Outbreak.  He also got arrested in San Francisco a few years back for possession of crack cocaine, but it ended up it wasn't crack cocaine.  It was BAKING SODA.  How's that for a major blot on your perception rating?  Yeesh.

Apparently he was married, had a child named Savannah, got sober (apparently he had a substance abuse problem after all), and now lives on a Bible Ranch in Perris, California.  (Go Lance!)  He also teaches bible study.

From the biography I surfed through, he's not real interested in returning to acting.

Chris Makepeace

Ever see Meatballs?  He was the wimpy guy who pal'd around with Bill Murray and ended up saving the day for the Camp North Star Team.

("It JUST DOESN'T MATTER!")

He also did My Bodyguard which was quite the classic in the early 80's.

He's another one who I have no idea what's going on with him.  I always found him to be a cutie, though.  Haley Joel Osment kind of reminds me of a young Chris Makepeace, both pretty talented.

Here's a website dedicated to hi.  Apparently he's an artist now?

Kristy McNichol

I remember her in Little Darlings with MATT DILLON (does that guy ever age?) back in 1980.

She's been in a ton of stuff.  The last project I heard she did was voice work  in 1998 called Invasion America.  Movie?  Hm...Mother of the Bride in 1983.

Kim Richards

Remember Escape From Witch Mountain?  She was Tia.  She could make things move with telekinesis.  I always wanted to be her.  Two reasons really:   the telekinesis thing and that amazing long hair.

From what I know about her now, she's got a little girl and the last project she did was back in 1990.  She's got a fan site if you want to check it out.

She's also the sister of Kyle Richards, who is the aunt (by marriage, I suppose) of Paris Hilton.  How wild is that?

Mark Lester

Remember Oliver!

He was Oliver Twist.

That gorgeous little kid!  He grew up, of course. The last picture that he did (that I know of) was Crossed Swords in 1978.   Apparently he lives in England where he and his wife are Osteopaths.

(I'm not sure what that is but it sounds medical).

William Zabka

He played some seriously obnoxious characters.  He was Greg Tolan in Just One of the Guys and that jerk from Karate Kid.  I just don't remember seeing much of him after that.  Although if you want updates, he's done Python and Roomies, recently.  So there you go.  I haven't been paying attention.

He's also just directed a film called "Most", which was nominated for an Academy Award.  It is a Czech film.  He works for a company called Big Island Music, Inc.  You can check out the website below:
